School placement
The municipality determines school placement under local rules. Check with the municipality before applying to another school. Private schools have their own admission criteria.
What can you compare?
Compare pupil numbers, registered staff ranges, pupil surveys and national tests for matching years and grades. A staff range does not tell you how much adult contact each pupil receives. Google ratings are not used. Consider distance and transport as well.
Visit the school
Search for a school or municipality, read the facts and compare up to four schools in My schools. Visit the school and speak with the principal or class teacher.
Appeals and changing schools
Ask the municipality about appealing a placement or applying to change schools. Follow the appeal instructions in the decision; Statsforvalteren may be the appeal authority.
